Anna Heywood-Jones is an artist, educator, and mother living on Taystay'ich (Denman Island, BC). In her work, Heywood-Jones uses textile materials and processes to consider the potentials held within iterative processes, intergenerational collaboration, and motherhood as an artistic methodology. She holds an MFA degree from NSCAD University (2016), a BFA degree from Emily Carr University (2013) and a diploma in Fibre Arts from Kootenay School of the Arts (2008). In support of her work and research, Heywood-Jones has received grants from the BC Arts Council, Canada Council for the Arts, the Nova Scotia Museum, the Harrison McCain Foundation and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council.
